College of
science & engineering
Students in Idaho State University’s College of Science
and Engineering are at the forefront of solving the
world’s most pressing challenges, and the number of
STEM jobs is projected to grow by just over 10 percent
by 2030. STEM fields are not only rewarding, they are
also well-compensated, with a median annual salary
of more than $95,000.
The College prides itself on providing the opportunity
for students to engage in hands-on research, starting
as undergraduates. As a result, Bengals are laying the
groundwork for treatments against antibiotic-resistant
bacteria, leading the way in developing polymers that
detect metals in wastewater, engineering robotic arms
that can be mounted on unmanned aerial vehicles,
and much more.
